The Orientation
A supervisor was assigned to every three or four guys.
Supervisors were the people who were in charge of several rides and the ride operators or attendants on those rides in a specific area of the park. Some were nice; others were just unbearable.
***
They were shown around the park and instructed on how to behave in the park. They couldn't start operating the rides themselves
before the drug test results came back saying that they were not drugsters or something like that. So for a week or so they just had to attend the rides, collect the ride tickets at the entrance and perform other duties.
"You will be given a ten-minute break about every two hours. Anytime from three to six you will have your longest one-hour lunch break. Someone will come to break you. But remember: never be late from your breaks. Very often we have long lines of customers and if you are late, fewer employees serve them and they get aggravated. When they get aggravated we lose business.
On most rides you are not supposed to sit down, but sometimes you can. For example when you collect tickets. You stand at the entrance, take the clicker in your hand and click every time a customer with a wristband passes through the counter. But only if they have wristbands. You don't click for those who have tickets instead of wristbands. Is everything clear so far?"
