Better Car Than Bike
"No, it's just dented a bit. It's been in a minor accident. And sometimes the clutch doesn't work right. Wanna test-drive it?"
"Ok," agreed Harut.
"Do you have a driver's license?"
Yes. He had one. Harut sat behind the steering wheel, started the engine and started to drive. The engine was making strange sounds. It sounded like it was just about to go out of order.
"What's this noise coming from the motor?" asked Harut.
"I don't know. Nothing serious, I guess."
"Ok. Great. Thanks a lot, man, you've been very helpful but I'd better go somewhere else to get a car!"
"Ok, good luck!"
He went to another car sale in front of this one. The manager
was a nice guy. But unfortunately the cars there started from $3000.
Harut needed something cheaper.
"You know what," said the manager, "if you wanna buy a good car for a good price, you should go to 'My sales.' They are pretty decent people. The only problem is that they are located far from here. You will need to take a taxi. It'll cost about thirty dollars to get there, but it's gonna be a wise investment. Here's the address," he said, scribbled down a few lines on a piece of paper and handed it to Harut.
"Thank you, sir. Actually, could you do me an extra favor? Could you call a cab for me?"
"Sure, that's no problem."
Harut had a bad habit: whatever he wanted, he wanted it at that same minute. And now he was determined to buy a car that same day no matter what.
