Parting
"But you have a long way to go before entering the United States. You'll have to stay in Moscow for many hours, and the restaurants at the airport are so expensive. You'll starve or become broke before you actually enter the United States!"
"Alex, your mother is quite right," butted in Harut, "do not argue with her and take the bag immediately!"
"Of course, you don't care, it's not your bag, you won't have to carry it, you'll just have to eat what's in it!" tried to fuss Alex.
"You gotta be crazy! If that's your concern, I promise I'll carry it, too, ok?"
"Ok, but I'll half the bag anyway, we have other bags to take care of, too!" said Alex, putting an end to the unnecessary argument. He had hardly said this when entered Harut's father and said:
"Okay guys, it's time, let's go."
Half an hour later they were at the airport. All the other guys had come already. They also had managed to check their baggage in and were just waiting for Harut and Alex.
Alex approached the check-in counter.
"Your ticket," asked the airline agent.
"Right here, flight number 306."
"I know," grinned the girl. "Put your baggage on the conveyor
belt. Do you want it checked all the way to New York?"
"Yeah. How many carry-ons am I allowed to have?"
"Only one. But you can also have a laptop computer,
camcorder or a purse together with your carry-on luggage."
