The Price of Stubbornness

"Hey Arman, hold up, man. It's nobody's fault that we gotta split.
Somebody had to be in your place, somehow or other," said Harut trying to settle the conflict, "and Hakob is right to some extent: socializing with English speaking guys from all over the world is the best way to practice your speaking skills."
            Harut's words seemed to convince Arman of the need for living with English speaking rather than Armenian speaking guys.
            The four guys started to unpack their things, while the others, namely, Harut, Levon and Tamara left their things in the room, before they could find a decent (or any) place to stay.
            They were about to leave when they heard someone knock at the door1.
            "Who is it?" asked Hakob in a hoarse voice.
            "Open up, guys, it's Nina," a voice was heard behind the door, "Ni-na," she repeated.
            "Wow! It's Nina," jumped Anna with joy.
            They opened the door hurriedly and saw Nina standing at the threshold.
            "Well, hello guys! I was told at the office that some nice Armenian guys have just arrived. And they also told me that one of you was asking for me."
            "It was me," said Anna, making her way to her.
            "Is that you my dear Anna? Goodness gracious! I just can't believe my ears, oops, I mean my eyes! How wonderful! You finally made your way here! I am so glad!"
