All is Well That Ends Well
...And it was on sale, too, for thirty-six dollars and ninety-nine cents! But it was still expensive. I was short three dollars. And that's when I decided to filch it. I tore the barcode and tried to slip away with it. I passed the first gate and was almost going to jump with joy,
when someone came up to me, caught my hand and said, 'Excuse me, follow me, please.' Then came police. The officer arrested me and said, 'You're under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Everything you say may be used against you in court of law.' Then they told me to step in the car and took me away."
"And when is the trial?" asked Harut.
"In about three days."
"Are you going to plead guilty?"
"I'll tell them that I had just forgotten to pay for it. I'm going to plead not guilty."
"You'd better not! 'Cause I'm absolutely sure they have the tape with you tearing off the barcode!" advised her Harut.
"That's right, too. I don't know then."
"Why? Just accept the charges and pay the fine. That's it!"
That's right: all's well that ends well.
Let me stop here my dear friends.
Of course I have a lot more to share with you.
But don't you think I need to take a break, too? I said I'm a ghost; but who said ghosts don't need a day off?
See you….
