Doughnuts, Coffee and Money
These words of hers seemed to convince Harut.
"Okay," he said at last, "I have a friend who runs a doughnut shop. I'll get a job for you there. Would you like it?"
"Sure, why not! I would just love to!"
"But there is a slight problem with that job: you'll have to wake up at six in the morning."
"Big deal! That's not a problem at all! That's a piece of cake for me!" she said confidently.
"If it's no big deal for you, then let's go there right away! We shouldn't miss even a day, 'cause every day counts as about hundred dollars."
"Hundred dollars, wow! I have never earned so much money in my whole life! Let's go there!"
They diverted from their way and went straight to the shop. She was delighted. Doughnuts, muffins, bagels, cookies and fancy pastry looked so enticing that she would eat all of them at once. And the coffee smell was the last straw.
"Goodness gracious! I wanna eat something, Harut!"
They ordered some doughnuts, muffins and two cups of French vanilla light and sweet decaf coffee.
While they were busy enjoying their breakfast, the shop's manager, Robert Coleman, came along.
"Hello Harut, how nice to see you! How have you been, man?"
"Cool, man, thanks! How 'bout yourself?"
"I've been good, thanks. So what brings you here? You need a job?"
